AimBees is underway: first steps towards the pilot datasets
The project officially started on 1 September 2026, and the consortium met at the end of September for its first project meeting. There, the partners aligned on the work plan and agreed on the next steps. AimBees brings together SEVEn, The Energy Efficiency Center (coordinator), Energy Twin, TU Wien and e-think energy research. The project runs until December 2028.
The first priority is data. AimBees learns from real consumption profiles. It derives each building’s operational load signature, generates a building-specific ideal energy profile and estimates the savings achievable through better operation. The partners have defined the minimum data needed: the building’s location, basic metadata such as floor area, and at least twelve consecutive months of consumption data, preferably in 15-minute resolution (hourly data are also acceptable). Mid-sized buildings with regular operation are the most suitable candidates.
Interested in taking part? We are looking for building owners and operators who would like to contribute smart-meter data. In return, participants receive energy-saving suggestions and reports on their buildings, which they are free to use and share. Data are transferred through a one-time export or read-only access and hosted securely in the EU. Identifying details are removed before analysis. Participation remains voluntary, and you can withdraw at any time. If you would like to know more, please contact coordinator Michal Staša, michal.stasa@svn.cz.
